The origin story
Stenoris emerged from a formal research collaboration between Ateleris and FHNW's Institute for Data Science. The original goal: build transcription models that work for Swiss German.
Along the way, we learned that precise transcription with automatic speaker recognition is essential for many professionals — counselors, coaches, HR experts, researchers. Today we help you focus on your conversations.
And yes: if your conversation is in Swiss German, we've got that covered too.

Stenoris is operated by Ateleris GmbH, a Swiss software development company.

Based in Brugg, Switzerland. We build software for clients across industries, with a focus on data-intensive applications and machine learning systems.
Stenoris grew out of our work on speech recognition for Swiss clients. We realized there was a broader need for Swiss German transcription — and that we had the expertise to address it.
Research Background
Our Swiss German capability emerged from a funded research project with the Institute for Data Science at FHNW (University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland).
The project (2023–2024) was funded by Forschungsfonds Aargau. The underlying technology is also available as a free demo.
